hippychick's pesto is back in season!

yum yum yum yum yum
i thank the gods of the gardening universe for the blessings of pesto
  • home grown basil
  • home grown garlic
  • fresh lemon juice
  • ground black pepper
  • olive oil - the good stuff
  • parmigianino
  • walnuts
some for now, some for later
if any of it ever makes it to the freezer
after two days of allowing the flavors to meld, that is

newsflash!
i've got five new baby papaya trees growing in the garden
rock on
all grown from the seed of a store bought fruit
makin' the papaya move
mmm hmm
